Fixed info about church activities

Café Church in Brewood

Café Church is an informal, relaxed, all age cafe style service which is usually held on the second Sunday of the month at St Mary and St Chad Church in Brewood.  It offers something for everyone.

We share breakfast together and then explore a biblical theme through readings, drama, worship and reflection.  There are children’s craft activities and the use of multi media.  Check the Services web page for the next date of Café Church.  If you would like an email reminder just let us have your email address.

Creative Colouring

Creative Colouring is held on the last Thursday of the month in Church House from 2.00pm for one hour. Those who enjoy colouring-in meet to spend time together to colour-in an image while discussing a verse from the Bible.  If you would like to come along to this time of fellowship please bring your crayons, felt tip pens or watercolours.

We hold an All Age Service on the first Sunday of every month at St John Church Bishops Wood.  Please come along you would be most welcome.

If you would like to become involved in Christians Together please come along to any of our services or social get togethers for a chat, you would be most welcome.

Pastoral care is one part of Christians Together.  We can arrrange to visit people in their own homes, who are lonely, housebound or living with illness.  We only visit with people’s permission, as often as needed; to be a listener and a friend.  For further information please contact Celia Haes 01785 840624.

Bell Ringing

You may have heard the bells ring out from St Mary & St Chad on Sundays or Tuesdays and at weddings, hopefully with pleasure. We ring for God’s glory, and to call people to worship, but many of our band are not church goers and we are from a  wide range of backgrounds and aged from teens to seventies. We share a passion for this ancient English art and a commitment to attend regularly and to perfect what we do. Every pull of the rope is a public performance!

We now have some vacancies for learners within the band.   Please contact Bob Short on 07790 809213 if you are interested or intrigued!
